Eco-Friendly Disposable School Field Trip Lunch

Last May, Z had a Kindergarten field trip somewhere and needed a disposable lunch. I save berry clamshells and such to reuse for just such a purpose, but this salvaged container from a Starbucks Protein Bistro Box made a perfect bentolicious disposable lunchbox!

Organic carrots and grapes, Glutino pretzel chips, goat cheese

I try to stick with reusable items in our lunches to reduce waste, but I keep some paper liners and picks on hand for school cupcakes and such. I had found an adorable Meri Meri Animal Parade cupcake kit on sale at Home Goods or Marshalls or someplace like that, so decided to go with a zoo theme! The mini elephant cutter made the perfect little cheese shapes to go with some gluten-free Glutino Pretzel Chips to make a fun MOMables Cracker Stackers variant!

The bistro box clamshells snap nicely closed, so I didn't need to worry about a rubberband or anything to hold it together, and has a label sticker already on the top. So I covered up as much of the boring text as I could with animal stickers and wrote Z's name on a blank spot. Super fun! It was a big hit!
