Best Mother's Day(s) of All Time

May 11, 2008 - While not yet technically a mother, I told my husband he'd better pretend really hard, as I was 8 months pregnant and in no mood for any snark.
We went to brunch with his mom and sister (at Denny's. It's his mom's favorite, and one of my favorites as well. Plus I had a coupon!) They gave all the moms a carnation - even me! Then off to my youngest sister's house for take-out from her favorite Chinese place with our mom.

May 10, 2009 - My first "real" Mother's Day. We went to brunch at Denny's with his mom and sister (notice a trend here?)
Smearing eating her Denny's breakfast
Then we went to my sister's house and left all the kids with the menfolks and us mom-folks (her, me and our mom) got to go out alone to the Chinese place Yes. The same one as the year before.) They gave us each a water bottle! Plus Moo shu pork. Yum!

May 9, 2010 - I can't remember why, but this was the first year in the history of, like, ever, that we didn't go to brunch at Denny's with his mom and sister. So we took me out to brunch at a local place that has a great breakfast buffet. They were crowded, and even they were amazed that we were able to get in before dusk, since their Sunday brunch buffets are usually crowded, plus it was a holiday.
Snorking down fruit like it was goin' out of style
Then we took his mom out for dinner at Red Lobster (another one of my favorites. And yes, I had a coupon.)

May 8, 2011 - Technically it's Mother's Day now, but since I'm in no mood to wake up the toddler to make her take me out to Denny's, I guess I'll have to wait until morning. But another great Mother's Day already, for so many, many reasons!
